2010 Supplement

to the General Statutes
Revised to January 1, 2009 Available now

The Legislative Commissioner's Office has announced the publication of the 2010 Supplement to the General Statutes, Revised to January 1, 2009. The 2006 Supplement was the first publication of an interim supplement to the General Statutes since 1977, and 2010 is the current issue in the series. The following description is quoted and updated from the state's 2006 published announcement:

What is the 2010 Supplement to the General Statutes? The 2010 Supplement to the 2009 General Statutes will include only the codified public acts enacted by the General Assembly during 2009. All multiple amendments will be completely harmonized and merged, and all new sections, enacted in 2009, assigned their new statute numbers. All statute numbers appearing in the 2008 Supplement may be cited and/or used upon publication. The 2010 Supplement will be set up to look very similar to the General Statutes, and will include complete source and history information for each section, as well as updated annotations.

How will the 2010 Supplement be helpful? Since the 2010 Supplement will contain the codified version of the 2009 public acts, reference need only be made to the section numbers included in the 2010 Supplement and not to the 2009 public acts themselves.

The 2010 Supplement is a three-volume set, sized and bound to match the individual volumes of the General Statutes, and is available now.
