Case Histories

This publication presents case histories for Connecticut Superior Court opinions reported in the Connecticut Law Reporter. Included are appellate action by the Connecticut Supreme Court and Connecticut Appellate Court, and citations in later Superior Court opinions reported in the Connecticut Law Reporter.

INCLUDED IN EACH ISSUE

Each issue of Case Histories includes, for cases reported through the most recently closed volume of the Connecticut Law Reporter, appellate action reported through the then-current issue of the Connecticut Law Journal, and citations made in subsequent trial court opinions reported in the Connecticut Law Reporter through the most recently closed volume.

PAGINATION

For Volumes 1 through 4 of the Connecticut Law Reporter, the pagination differs between the weekly and bound editions, and all citations in the Case Histories are to the bound volumes. Beginning with Volume 5 of the Connecticut Law Reporter the pagination for the weekly and bound editions is identical so that citations may be found at the same page reference in either the weekly or bound editions.

SUPERIOR COURT OPINIONS REPORTED IN OTHER PUBLICATIONS

Opinions reported in the Connecticut Law Tribune and not reported in the weekly edition of the Connecticut Law Reporter are subsequently included in the bound editions of the Connecticut Law Reporter. Case histories are compiled for these opinions after the bound volumes are prepared. Included in the most recent Case Histories are all opinions reported in bound Volumes 1 through 8 which include those opinions summarized in the Connecticut Law Tribune and reported in the Connecticut Superior Court Reports from January 1, 1990 through May 17, 1993. The history of a CSCR case can be traced by obtaining the Connecticut Law Reporter citation through the table of cases at the back of each Law Reporter bound volume.

FREQUENCY AND ORDERING INFORMATION

Case Histories is cumulatively updated and reissued in an 8.5" x 11" booklet format following the last issue of each volume of the weekly Law Reporter, or approximately once every 24 weeks. An interim update with changes since the last full revision is presented in Issue No. 12 of each volume of the weekly Law Reporter.
